Plural Grammar Rules

The plural is the form which refers to more than one object or person. For example: I speak two languages the plural here is [languages] because it refers to more than one [language]. The examples below use plurals in different ways and places to demonstrate how they look when converted from their singular form.

I speak one language [singular form] ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹਾਂ [maiṁ ika bhāśā bōladā hāṁ]
we speak three languages [plural noun] ਅਸੀਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਾਂ [asīṁ tina bhāśāvāṁ bōladē hāṁ]
he visits many countries [adverb + plural noun] ਓਹ ਕਈ ਮੁਲਕਾਂ 'ਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ [ōha ka'ī mulakāṁ 'ca jāndā hai]
they are happy now [plural pronoun] ਓਹ ਹੁਣ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਨ [ōha huṇa khuśa hana]
she has five red shoes [adjective + plural noun] ਓਸ ਕੁੜੀ ਕੋਲ ਪੰਜ ਲਾਲ ਬੂਟ ਹਨ [ōsa kuṛī kōla paja lāla būṭa hana]
I want a sandwich without onions [preposition + plural noun] ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਗ਼ੈਰ ਪਿਆਜ਼ ਦਾ ਸੈਂਡਵਿਚ ਦਿਓ [mainū baġaira pi'āza dā saiṇḍavica di'ō]
