Nouns Grammar Rules

In general nouns refer to a person, an object, or abstract ideas. For example: a fast runner the noun is [runner] because it refers to a person. The examples below use nouns in different ways and places to demonstrate how they behave in a sentence.

do you have milk?
[verb + noun] شیرت هەیە؟ Audio [sheert haya?]
I have milk and coffee
[preposition + noun] شیرو قاوەم هەیە Audio [sheer w qawam haya]
he has three apples
[number + plural noun] ئەو سێ سێوی پێیە Audio [aw se sewy peya]
she only has one apple
[number + singular noun] ئەو یەک سێوی پێیە Audio [ae yek sewy peya]
we live in a small house
[adjective + noun] ئێمە لە خانوویەکی بچووکدا دەژین Audio [ema le khanwyaky bchwkda dazheen]
I like our breakfast
[pronoun + noun] حەزم لە نانی بەیانیمانە Audio [hazm le nany beyanimana]
