Nouns Grammar Rules

In general nouns refer to a person, an object, or abstract ideas. For example: a fast runner the noun is [runner] because it refers to a person. The examples below use nouns in different ways and places to demonstrate how they behave in a sentence.

[verb + noun] האַט איר מילך?
I have milk and coffee
[preposition + noun] איך האָב מילך און קאַווע
he has three apples
[number + plural noun] ער האָט דריי עפּל
she only has one apple
[number + singular noun] זי האָט בלויז איינער עפּל

[adjective + noun] מיר לעבן אין אַ קליין הויז

Now we finally reach the fun part, the practice of the daily conversations. These phrases are used to get to know new people, and break the ice.

Just a little נאָר אַ ביסל
I like Yiddish מיר געפעלט יידיש
Can I practice with you? קען איך מיט דיר לערנען?
How old are you? וֹוֹײַ אַלט זייד יאר?
I'm thirty three years old איך בין 33 יאר אַלט
It was nice talking to you עס איז געווען פיין צו רעדען מיט דיר
