black കറുപ്പ് [kṟu pep]
grey നരച്ച [nerechch]
white വെള്ള [veḷeḷ]
blue നീല [nīl]
green പച്ച [pechch]
yellow മഞ്ഞ [meñeñ]
red ചുവപ്പ് [chu vepep]
brown ചവുണ്ട [chvu ṇeṭ]
Adjectives Grammar Rules
In general adjectives are words which describe or modify another person or object in a given sentence. For example: a beautiful flower the adjective is [beautiful] because it describes the noun [flower]. The following examples use adjectives in different ways and places to demonstrate how they behave in a sentence.
Grammar Rules - Malayalam + Pronunciation
my house is white [noun + adjective] എന്ടെ വീടിന് വെള്ള നിറമാണ് [eneṭe vīṭeine veḷeḷe neiṟemaṇ]
your country is big [noun + adjective] നിങ്ങളുടെ രാജ്യം വലുതാണ് [neineneḷu ṭe rajeye' velu thaṇ]
new books are expensive [plural + adjective] പുതിയ പുസ്തകങ്ങള് വിലയേറിയതാണ് [pu theiye pu sethekneneḷe veileyeṟeiyethaṇ]
we are happy here [pronoun + verb + adjective] ഞങ്ങള് ഇവിടെ സന്തുഷ്ടരാണ് [ñeneneḷe iveiṭe senethu sśeṭeraṇ]
she has three small dogs [adjective + plural] അവള്ക്ക് മുന്ന് ചെറിയ പട്ടിയുണ്ട് [aveḷekk mu nene cheṟeiye peṭeṭeiyu ṇeṭ]
this language is very easy [adverb + adjective] ഈ ഭാഷ വളരെ എളുപ്പമാണ് [ī bhasśe veḷere eḷu pepemaṇ]
I have a smallgreen house [adjective + adjective] എനിക്ക് ഒരു പച്ച വീട് ഉണ്ട് [eneikk oru pechch vīṭe uṇeṭ]
We're not done yet! The following is a list of more adjectives for you, often used when referring to weather conditions. I think it would be wise to memorize them.
cold കുളിരുള്ള [ku ḷeiru ḷeḷ]
hot ചുടുള്ള [chu ṭu ḷeḷ]
cloudy മേഘാവൃതം [meghaverethe']
rainy മഴ യുള്ള [meḻe yu ḷeḷ]
snowy മഞ്ഞു വീഴുന്ന [meñeñu vīḻu nen]
sunny തെളിഞ്ഞ [theḷeiñeñ]
windy കാറ്റുള്ള [kaṟeṟu ḷeḷ]
warm ചെറു ചുടുള്ള [cheṟu chu ṭu ḷeḷ]
Conversation in Malayalam
Now we finally reach the most exciting part, the practice of the daily expressions used in almost every conversation. I recommend memorizing these phrases, because you will need them for sure.

hi ആഹ് [ah]
how are you? എങ്ങനെ ഉണ്ട് [enenene uṇeṭ]
I'm good, thank you നല്ലത്, നന്ദി [nelelethe, nenedei]
and you? അങ്ങോ? [aneno?]
what is your name? എന്താ അങ്ങയുടെ പേര്? [enetha aneneyu ṭe pere?]
my name is Maya എന്റെ പേര് മായ [eneṟe pere may]
nice to meet you കണ്ടു മുട്ടിയതില് സന്തോഷം [kṇeṭu mu ṭeṭeiyetheile senethosśe']
