Plural Grammar Rules

The plural is the form which refers to more than one object or person. For example: I speak two languages the plural here is [languages] because it refers to more than one [language]. The examples below use plurals in different ways and places to demonstrate how they look wehn converted from their singular form.

Grammar + Rules - Bengali + Pronunciation
I speak one language
[singular form] আমি একটি ভাষায় কথা বলি Audio [āmi ēkaṭi bhāṣāẏa kathā bali]
we speak three languages
[plural noun] আমরা তিনটি ভাষায় কথা বলি Audio [āmarā tinaṭi bhāṣāẏa kathā bali]
he visits many countries
[adverb + plural noun] তিনি বহু দেশ ভ্রমণ করেন Audio [tini bahu dēśa bhramaṇa karēna]
they are happy now
[plural pronoun] তারা এখন খুশি Audio [tārā ēkhana khuśi]
she has five red shoes
[adjective + plural noun] তার পাঁচটি লাল জুতো আছে Audio [tāra pām̐caṭi lāla jutō āchē]
I want a sandwich without onions
[preposition + plural noun] আমি পেঁয়াজ ছাড়া একটা স্যান্ডউইচ চাই Audio [āmi pēm̐ẏāja chāṛā ēkaṭā syānḍa'u'ica cā'i]
