Adjectives Grammar Rules
In general adjectives are words which describe or modify another person or object in a given sentence. For example: a beautiful flower the adjective is [beautiful] because it describes the noun [flower]. The following examples use adjectives in different ways and places to demonstrate how they behave in a sentence.
Grammar Rules - Ukrainian + Pronunciation
my house is white [noun + adjective] мій будинок білий [mіy boodinok bіliy]
your country is big [noun + adjective] ваша країна велика [vasha krayina vyelika]
new books are expensive [plural + adjective] нові книги дорогі [novі knigui doroguі]
we are happy here [pronoun + verb + adjective] ми щасливі тут [mi shtaslivі toot]
she has three small dogs [adjective + plural] вона має троє маленьких собак [vona maye troye malyenʲkikh sobak]
this language is very easy [adverb + adjective] ця мова дуже легка [tzya mova dooʐye lyeguka]
I have a smallgreen house [adjective + adjective] я маю невеликий зелений будинок [ya mayo nyevyelikiy zyelyeniy boodinok]
We're not done yet! The following is a list of more adjectives for you, often used when referring to weather conditions. I think it would be wise to memorize them.
cold холодний [kholodniy]
hot гарячий [guaryachiy]
cloudy хмарний [khmarniy]
rainy дощовий [doshtoviy]
snowy сніжний [snіʐniy]
sunny сонячний [sonyachniy]
windy вітряний [vіtryaniy]

Now we finally reach the most exciting part, the practice of the daily expressions used in almost every conversation. I recommend memorizing these phrases, because you will need them for sure.

how are you? як справи? [yak spravi?]
I'm good, thank you у мене все гаразд, дякую! [oo myenye vsye guarazd, dyakooyo!]
and you? а ви? [a vi?]
what is your name? як вас звати? [yak vas zvati?]
