Numbers Grammar Rules

Sindhi cardinal numbers refer to the counting numbers, because they show quantity. For example: I speak two languages. Ordinal numbers on the other hand tell the order of things and their rank: my first language is Sindhi. The examples below use numbers in different ways and places to demonstrate how they behave in a sentence.

Grammar + Rules - Sindhi
I have three dogs
[number + noun] مون وٽ ٽي ڪتا آهن
my daughter has two cats
[number + noun] منهنجي ڌيءَ وٽ ٻـ ٻليون آهن
she speaks seven languages
[verb + number] هو ست ٻوليون ڳالهائيندي آهي
my brother has one son
[number + singular noun] منهنجي ڀاءُ کي هڪڙو پٽ آهي
this is my second lesson
[ordinal number + noun] هي منهنجو ٻيون سبق آهي

Now we finally reach the last part, the practice of the daily conversations. These phrases are used to get to know new people, and break the ice.

I'm American مان آمريڪي آهيان
Where do you live? توهان ڪٿي رهندا آهيو؟
I live in the U.S مان آمريڪا ۾ رهندو آهيان
What do you do for a living? توهان گذر سفر لاءِ ڇا ڪندا آهيو؟
