Plural Grammar Rules

The plural is the form which refers to more than one object or person. For example: I speak two languages the plural here is [languages] because it refers to more than one [language]. The examples below use plurals in different ways and places to demonstrate how they look when converted from their singular form.

Grammar + Rules - Nepali + Pronunciation
I speak one language
[singular form] म एउटा भाषा बोल्न सक्छु Audio [ma ē'uṭā bhāṣā bōlna sakchu]
we speak three languages
[plural noun] हामी तीनवटा भाषा बोल्न सक्छौं Audio [hāmī tīnavaṭā bhāṣā bōlna sakchauṁ]
he visits many countries
[adverb + plural noun] उसले धेरै देश भ्रमण गर्छ Audio [usalē dhērai dēśa bhramaṇa garcha]
they are happy now
[plural pronoun] उनीहरु अब खुशी छन् Audio [unīharu aba khuśī chan]
she has five red shoes
[adjective + plural noun] उनीसंग पांचवटा रातो जुत्ता छ Audio [unīsaṅga pān̄cavaṭā rātō juttā cha]
I want a sandwich without onions
[preposition + plural noun] मलाई प्याज नभएको स्याण्डविच चाहिन्छ Audio [malā'ī pyāja nabha'ēkō syāṇḍavica cāhincha]
