I would like to welcome you to the Irish lessons. I'm here to help you learn Irish, by going step by step. All the lessons contain audio and are all offered for free. We will learn the alphabet together. We will also review some simple grammar rules, practice common phrases, and we will have fun memorizing many important vocabulary lists, and everything else that you see below.

Irish was the predominant language of the Irish, and they brought their Gaelic speech with them to other countries, notably Scotland, where it gave rise to Scottish Gaelic.
85,000 people reported using Irish as a daily language outside of the education system, and 1.2 million reported using it at least occasionally in or out of school.
